Enhance your winter adventures with Edgeworks AIARE avalanche education courses!

Our expert-led, comprehensive courses equip outdoor enthusiasts with essential avalanche safety skills.

Whether you're a seasoned backcountry enthusiast or a complete beginner, we offer avalanche courses suitable for all skill levels. Choose from our range of courses, including AIARE1, AIARE 2, and AIARE Avalanche Rescue, each tailored to meet the specific needs of participants with varying levels of avalanche education and experience.

AIARE avalanche courses are designed to provide a holistic understanding of avalanche safety, risk assessment, and decision-making in the backcountry. With a blend of lectures, hands-on field sessions, and practical exercises, participants will learn to recognize avalanche hazards, assess terrain, and perform companion rescue techniques confidently.

Edgeworks offers AIARE 1, AIARE Avalanche Rescue, and AIARE 2 programs across Washington State. Our primary venue is Snoqualmie Pass near Seattle, but we also hold courses at Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Stevens Pass, and White Pass. Courses are available for backcountry skiers, splitboarders, and snowshoers.
