Yoga

Let Edgeworks Yoga improve your balance, health, and fitness. Our yoga programs are staffed by instructors who understand climbing! They focus on overall fitness and poses that complement and support the needs of climbers in their training.

Practices are motivated by the following curiculum:

Mixed-Level Yoga

Relax and gently build core strength while working on alignment, breathing, and balance. Flow Yoga focuses on more restorative poses, building flexibility, proper alignment and breathing techniques.

INTEGRATIVE YOGA

A mixed-level class drawing from various yoga styles to enhance mind-body awareness. Practices include vinyasana (flow) as well as guided meditation and pranayama (breath exercise).

MIND + BODY YOGA

Separated into three portions, students will practice, Restorative Yoga, Myofascial Release, and conclude with Yoga Nedra. This 60-minute course combines several methods to create space for physical and emotional well-being.

FLOW YOGA

Find balance, build strength, and cultivate a sense of ease in this yoga practice. These classes offer a slow flow vinyasa deepening the mind-body breath connection while incorporating gentle, restorative & yin poses.

ACRO YOGA

A practice that blends elements of yoga, acrobatics and thai massage. You will learn to balance someone else’s body on your feet – called “basing” – to be balanced by someone else – called “flying” – and to spot. This practice plays with elements of control and letting go gracefully in coordination with someone else.

Power Yoga

Faster paced classes with a focus on deep core strengthening and endurance. These classes are perfect for climbers and yogis looking to strengthen their mind and body awareness.

YOGA for CLIMBERS

An alignment based practice designed to aid in functional movements for climbing. Providing a slower pace and postures that are integrated with anatomical education and repetition for healthy patterning, aiding an injury free climbing experience.

VINYASA YOGA

A fitness based approach to yoga. With a focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful asana sequence. Students will build strength, flexibility, and concentration, while cleansing the body and calming the mind.

ADVANCING VINYASA YOGA

Building upon the foundation of linking breath with movement and working to build strength and endurance. Class will also offer dynamic transitions, working toward a peak pose or targeting a specific body part.

MOBILITY + FUNCTIONAL YOGA

Improve flexibility and joint mobility through a combination of intentional yoga poses and stretching exercises. Increase your ability to move your body parts freely and easily through a full range of motion.

REVIVE + RESTORE YOGA

Experience the fusion of Vinyasa and Restorative yoga in this class, combining dynamism and relaxation for a well-rounded practice. Starting with an invigorating Vinyasa sequence, classes will then slow down for fully supported restorative postures, promoting deep relaxation and ease.
