  BIKE TO EDGEWORKS

If you haven't heard yet, May is Bike Month and Tacoma has some pretty awesome stuff going on to get us out and about on our two wheeled friends. You can creat bike to work teams and compete to win prizes, there are a bunch of bike seminars where you can learn to ride safely in traffic and how to outfit yourself and your bike for safe riding, and more! Here at Edgeworks, we wanted to take part in Bike Month, and since we've got those two bike racks out front begging for attention, we thought we'd get in on the action.

So, for the month of May, every Monday is Bike-to-Edgeworks day, which means if you show up on your bike and it's a monday... you get a day pass for only $10! Also, on Friday, May 18th, the first 40 people who bike to Edgeworks to climb will receive a 2oz Metolius Chalk block! Sweet huh? So lets see that bike rack get full, and get a bit of cardio on before you crush your favorite routes!

Crushing Tip
  C'MON CRUSH THIS!

Feeling like your next project is eternally halting your growth? We all hit plateaus. Thankfully, Joey Burns has a suggestion.

While he's traversing the walls, we have a short conversation about his climbing. Joey credits his (freakish) abilities to, what else? Traversing. "If you're a new climber, the best thing you can do is traverse," Joey explains. "Traversing helps me get past all my plateaus, from V1 to V2, from V4 to V5." Aside from providing an endless series of climbing problems, traversing is extremely helpful in the endurance department. "It's what helped me - especially when I was a new climber."
